Design, Strategy, and Adaptability

My professional path is built on a foundation of creativity, discipline, and a constant drive to adapt. I’ve spent almost my entire life in Southern California, with a pivotal chapter serving in the U.S. Army Infantry. This experience instilled in me the discipline and focus I bring to every project.

From Art to Advertising

Upon returning home, I leveraged my artistic talents into a marketable career, earning my first Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Communications. I launched into the advertising world, initially working at DGWB Advertising. While the 2008 economic shift led me to take on full-time roles outside of the agency setting, I continued to hone my craft and maintain an artistic perspective through freelance design projects.

A few years later, I returned to the design field, notably spending time creating the influential DC Shoe catalogs for Quiksilver. Recognizing the need to connect design with business strategy, I decided to broaden my expertise. While a brief foray into accounting proved less engaging, it ultimately led me to pursue a second Bachelor’s Degree—this time in Marketing.

Leading Marketing Initiatives

Armed with a dual perspective in design and marketing strategy, I began applying my skills to drive measurable results.

  • I helped execute the first-ever organized marketing push for Stompgrip, creating programs and collateral that the company leveraged for future growth.
  • I joined Oak Tree, first serving as the Assistant Director of Marketing.
  • Since 2020, I have taken on the active responsibilities of Marketing Director, leading initiatives and strategy for the organization.

My unique background allows me to approach marketing challenges with both an artistic eye and a strategic, results-focused mindset. I am a working professional dedicated to executing every project with excellence, leveraging my deep experience in design and marketing education to deliver strong outcomes.
